Voters Guide
Tamil Manram members who want to vote in this year's election must ensure the following.
Their membership is active on October 31, 2020 and have registered the correct email ID with Tamil Manram. If you are not sure contact the Election Office at election.officer@sfbatm.org to confirm your membership and email ID.
If you are not a member, become a member before October 19, 2020 to be eligible to vote. Contact Tamil Manram Treasurer at treasurer@sfbatm.org to become a member. Alternatively you can register online at https://bayareatamilmanram.org/sigin.html
Learn about the candidates. Review the candidates' profiles in this website and attend the Zoom meeting on October 28, 2020 where candidates will introduce themselves.
eVoting
Reveiw the election process and understand how it works.
Each member will receive the email ballot from the system around 12:01 AM October 29, 2020 as soon as the election is open. The email will be coming from noreply@electionrunner.com. Name of the sender will be SF Bay Area Tamil Manram. Do not reply to this email. This email address is not monitored.
After 24 hours the system will send a first reminder to those who have not yet voted around 12:01 AM October 30, 2020.
Again after the next 24 hours the system will send a second and final reminder to those who have not yet voted around 12:01 AM October 31, 2020. The member will have 12 hours until noon Saturday to submit their vote.
If you do not receive the email, check the spam mail folder.
If you still have difficulty contact the Election Officer at election.officer@sfbatm.org as soon as possible to give him ample time to resolve the issue before the election closes. Once the election closes you will not be able to participate in the election.
Mark your calendars to submit your votes on time between October 29, 2020 12:01 AM and noon on October 31, 2020.
When you finish voting you can right click and save the voting confirmation for your reference.
Verification of Membership & Email
It is important for each member to contact the Election Office ASAP at election.officer@sfbatm.org to verify whether their membership is active and we have your correct email ID. The Executive Committee will be sending reminders via the group email, and through posts in Facebook and WhatsApp groups.
In addition the Election Office will take the following steps to confirm that we have the correct email address for our members.
Contact each member using the email address in our member database using the service https://www.verticalresponse.com/. We will identify which emails are working and which ones are bouncing.
A BPO agent from Tamil Nadu has been hired to contact each member using the phone number in the database. He will confirm the email ID and will collect the new email ID if the one in the database is wrong.
This person does not know anything about Tamil Manram or the election process.

Send your election related questions to the Election Office at election.officer@sfbatm.org.
IMPORTANT
It is the responsibility of each member to proactively contact the Election Office to verify their membership and email ID. Election Office will not be responsible for expired memberships, and incorrect email IDs in Tamil Manram database.
If there are any disputes regarding expired membership, it should be taken up with the Executive Committee. Contact them at batmcore@sfbatm.org. Election Office is not responsible to resolve those disputes.
If you have difficulty in casting the vote, contact the Election Officer at election.officer@sfbatm.org as soon as possible to give him ample time to resolve the issue before the election closes. Once the election closes you will not be able to participate in the election.
